Two Minutes To Midnight? Pt.2; Capitalism

Posted in General at 9:40 pm by Kevin Scott

Capitalism is the system, it is what drives modern society. Capitalism is our daily routine. It is us getting up early in the morning, two days away from payday, wishing we had money, wishing we had food, wishing life was better. Capitalism is the force of oppression, greed, misery, and poverty in this world. It is the method for those on top to destroy parts of our planet all in the name of the mighty dollar. Have you not noticed of late that when money is involved, it matters not what the consequence is of obtaining it?

We as a society have no idea how to feed ourselves anymore. We are the most controlled and dependent species on this planet. Money has become the number one things that equates to survival in life. The majority of this planet’s “wealth” is held by a very few select families in different parts of the globe. Meanwhile, the masses work their lives away, struggling to make ends meet, becoming more miserable by the day. Why do we live in a society where the masses struggle for survival?

People think this is the only available option to them for survival, nay. They have been convinced that without the system we are all screwed and will die homeless, starving and cold on the streets. The system employs you when it needs you and dump you in times of surplus. They pay you the lowest wages when they need you and you starve if they don’t need you. This is the true face of capitalism; it is a very ugly system that destroys humanity and nature around the clock till oblivion.

This system, just as politics, is tied very closely to the religions the masses follow. Making it easy for them to be convinced by both politicians, and men who spread gospel, that being a good law abiding citizen, paying your bills, working a job that makes you severely unhappy for two thirds of your life, is the option. It will get you into heavan, will keep you out of jail, and will lead you to happiness.

We are told of ‘relief funds’ and ‘awareness groups’ that are set up to deal with poverty. There is no ‘dealing’ with poverty as it is a by-product of the system. It eats the hearts and souls of the masses just as it reaps its benefit from our planet without cares of using all resources until completely depleted.

For those of you who have watched the Simpsons (probably the vast majority of you), I would wonder if you may remember a specific episode. The ‘Leader’ arrives in town claiming to bring peace and enlightenment to those who live in Springfield. The entire town gets duped into believing this story and goes to work willingly for the ‘Leader’, spending their days in labor without any benefit because all the benefit went to the top. At the end of the episode the ‘Leader’ is revealed to be nothing more than a scam artist exploiting everyone for his own benefit, and profit. It is a prime example of how the system of Capitalism works.

I am curious Kevin. You use “the masses” and “them” and to refer to a large section of (presumably) American society. Where do you fit into the system? Are you making these comments from within the system or from the outside?

What you say makes a lot of sense and elsewhere in these blogs I have seen it said that the mass media is used to numb our brains in order to make us buy more soap. I think I get the picture but I am wondering if you or any of the other bloggers would like to share your thoughts on a solution to this apparent dead end we are travelling down.

    cheers, ripcord.

From within the system of media myself? Unfortunately one has to find some source of global events to gain some insight from. I try to include a bit of everywhere, just so I can gather at least the actual occurrence and put my own ideas together.
A solution? No, only advice, solutions to lifes problems come from within not without. My best advice would be to just shrug off television, and whenever the urge to kill time hits do something productive instead. Exercise, find a hobby that has profitable benefit to your lifestyle (As you may have gathered, I make chain maille and am close to completing a full shirt. Armor could be handy one day no?), get some books to read. Whatever you think would appease your mind the most I guess. From doing such activities you will find your own freedoms and do what you will.
Don’t get me wrong, I may watch 4-6 hours of tv every 3-4 months. Sometimes there is something useful worth watching, but really wouldn’t it be better to just go learn whatever it is on your own?
Am I making comments from within or without of the system? *shrugs* Good question, am I?

Yes there is a “fix” for capitalism and the great mess we are in today. And it isn’t any current known system of “ism” or “ist” you can possibly think of or what is taught in our universities or shown in the media / government / corporations generally speaking.

You would need to contact me for documentation of how we could fix things once and for all and links of actual examples of organizations beginning to work towards this solution. I get the feeling we are out of time though…But a seed may at least get well and truly planted prior to the total collapse and then like a phoenix it will rise from the ashes and bloom for a total renewal of everything.

It is a totally changed new way of running things in a “moral” and “just” way, and it totally overhauls the way the economy is run and how government and society all fit in. I can virtually guarantee you have not see anything like this.

There are people that know, but they are very far and few between. Feel free to ask me for documents to be sent to you, and remember to keep an open mind at least until you have read it all.

It is to this “new way” that I wish to serve humanity and dedicate the rest of my life.

Alrite Peter, I’ll bite the bait, what do you have for me? Is it a system similar to anarchy? (no not spikey haired punks with mohawks and setting things on fire) because the ideology of it has been intruiging me as of late and the system has potential, yet everything ‘has’ potential, its how it is used that makes things good and bad, corrupt or free.
I’m open to new ideas, if anything your system may have things I can incorporate into my own ideals and see what comes from there. How do you wish me to contact you?

Very interresting article but unfortunately we are NO LONGER living under capitalism…But under a DEBT system …and nobody seems to realise….too buisy watching TV ….CAPITALISM was created under a Barter system (gold standard) and can only function under “FULL RESERVE BANKING” NOW our banking system is : Fractional Reserve Banking….(the Federal Reserve System created in 1913 by vicious crooked Bankers. The so called Fed is NOT a federal agency but a..Private Bank who creates fiat money out of the printing machine and charge our Government a %.on every Dollar created.. the Federal income Tax was created almost in the same time …and bearely cover the interrest covered by the debts created by the sytem itself) YOU WERE MISLED TO BELIEVE THAT THE INCOME TAX MONEY IS TOO OPERATE THE COUNTRY…HOW DO YOU THINK THE COUNTRY WAS OPERATED BEFORE THE CREATION OF THE FEDERAL INCOME TAX (1913) This money goes to cover the debts especially the debts to the World bank…Uncle Sam eactly 20 years after the creation of the Federal Reserve System …declared SECRETELY Bankrupcy (1933) in Geneva and is basicaly operate like a Corporation under Chapter 11 since then and as we speak (and no matter WHO you vote for)
What was created is a system based on debts, and above all INFLATION…which is NOT “Prices going up” but a devaluation of our currency therefore we must constantly re-adjust the prices of goods and services (the all mighty $ in reallity is worth very little…about 7 cents) Wondering Why the war machine has to function ALL THE TIME ? WW1 then WW2 then the Cold War and then you thought that was over when the Berlin wall collapsed…but a few month later Al Qaeda takes over ….Convenientely located in Oil producing countries…..Don’t you get it ? WHO IS REALLY in charge….the ones who control and issue the currency and make sure that this “FIAT” Dollar remain the predominante money of exchange ALL OVER THE WORLD (especially for Oil) …other wise OUR PHONY CAPITALISM (which is no longer) woud collapse (it allready did in 1933)…..
THE ONLY WAY to FIX this ROTTEN SYSTEM WHICH ONLY BENEFITS THE ROCKEFELLERS & ROTHCHILDS is to have a monertary reform.( check www.themoneymasters.com) A New currency DIRECTLY CREATED BY THE TREASURE DEPARTMENT TO PAY THE NATIONAL DEBTS….ABOLISH FRACTIONAL RESERVE BANKING AND THE FEDERAL RESERVE SYSTEM , WITHDRAW THE US FROM THE IMF BIS AND WORLD BANK..PEOPLE. THE DICE ARE LOADED AND YOU DON”T KNOW IT….YOU ARE NO LONGER UNDER A CAPITALIST SYTEM….AND YOU DID NOT EVEN NOTICE EVEN THOUGH YOU KNOW DEEP INSIDE THERE IS SOMETING WRONG…..THE VERY SAME WAY WE ARE NO LONGER LIVING IN A REAL DEMOCRACY. THE PATRIOT ACT, AND MANY PRESIDENTIAL EXECUTIVE ORDERS (# 11000 , OVERIDE THE CONSTITUTION….IN THE NAME OF SECURITY….OF COURSE..USING THE 9/11 attack as a stepping stone but refusing to investigate WHO WAS REALLY BEHIND IT….(.MORE WARS ON THE WAY.)…BROTHER…..WAKE UP.!…ASKING FOR A SALARY INCREASE OR TRYING TO SAVE MORE, TO BUY A HOUSE….AND OF COURSE BOROWING MONEY FROM YOUR BANKERS….WHO LOVE YOU SO MUCH,( ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU CAN NO LONGER PAY YOUR DEBT)…..IS NOT GOING TO HELP YOU….
