God found it necessary to destroy the people who turned away from him because they lost any form of decencity. Is it any different today? We are all "small" in the big scope of things and the fight between good and evil underlines everything we do because it is God's battle. We are to follow him where ever he see fit, but we lost the way. It is only a matter of time before God evens the score and rids the earth of those who offer no help.
