All Hail King Bush
When exactly did we become a monarchy? Did I miss something, because it sure seems like Bush is doing whatever he damn well pleases and to hell with public opinion. As Bush lays out his “plan” to send 21,500 more troops to Iraq amidst throngs of public disapproval, it makes one wonder just who the hell Bush thinks he is. Sure, he’s the president, the commander in chief, the big cheese, the main man, the big kahuna, yadda yadda, but that doesn’t give him the right to rule with no consideration for the public’s will. Let’s not forget that the main job of the office of the President is to “preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution.” Nowhere in the Constitution does it say anything about the people having to do whatever the president wants, or else. Go ahead, read it, it’s not in there! So, why is it that in a time when Bush’s own congressional party members are turning on him faster than a whirling dervish in springtime are we allowing him to continue sending more young people to die for a war that is clearly being lost?
Okay, I admit it, I was a supporter of the war when it first broke out. There, I said it, I’m not proud of it, but there it is. I can remember watching the nonstop 24-hour coverage of the tanks as they rolled into Baghdad, hanging on every word the imbedded journalists said as they described what it was like being on the frontlines of the invasion…uh, I mean liberation. It was exciting to watch something so important unfold before my eyes as I lounged there on the living room couch, popcorn and soda in hand, knowing that it was all happening right that very second all the way on the other side of the world. It was truly one of the best reality shows ever! However, 3,000+ American troop casualties later, the thrill is gone.
What exactly does Bush think has been accomplished in Iraq? Sure, we removed an evil dictator from power, yea us! We’ve given the people there an opportunity to form their own democracy and live better lives, okay I’m all for that. But what else? Have we stopped terrorism? No. Have we improved international relations between the east and west? No. Have we made the world a better place? No. Have we found Osama? Oh wait, wrong country! So, how exactly is sending more kids to die going to solve any of these problems? If anything, it’s probably going to make things worse. No wonder the entire world thinks we’re violent bullies…we are! I think it’s time for a new “plan” Mr. Bush.
While it may already be too little too late, at least Congress is finally getting on the bandwagon and starting to do something to stop the madness by drafting its anti-Bush Iraq resolution. They know where their bread is buttered (with public elections) and they realize that the public demands that something be done about a war that nobody, not even republicans, support anymore. It will be interesting to see where this all leads, but hopefully someone will finally put a stop to the one-man battering ram that Bush has become. As a wise man once said, absolute power corrupts absolutely. Hopefully, someone will do something to stop the madness before we’re all required to curtsey and refer to Bush as his Royal Highness.

Uh, last I checked it was still a voluntary military. We all joined because we wanted to. We all joined knowing we were going to Iraq, and you have NO SAY WHAT-SO-#!$-$#!%-EVER in deciding whether we want to go over there or not. The people who don’t like it and don’t want to go over don’t join the military… and if we didn’t want to go over there, we wouldn’t join. SO BACK THE $#@# OFF. I want to go to Iraq and kill those Al-Queda $#@#*&@!. I want to kill every single one of those assholes that attacked my country

Wow. somebody sure jerked HIS chain.
Somehow, I doubt the person is whom they say there are. And if they are sincere, can we all together now say “Brainwashed?”
I, for one, am tired of the little tin god that is bush. I am tired of his temper tantrums, his bloody war and his failed policies and strategies.
I am tired of his corrupt Administration and of being lied to, spied on and basically led down the garden path. The flowers are wilted and starting to stink!
Enough, already! I will never bend a knee to little-man bush.
And let us not forget his band of demons…er brothers, behind him. The cheney-devil, (rum-dum is gone), rover, condi-lizard and so forth. Most of us who are a wake know whom I refer to.
It is about time the American people stop this stupid war. And I am glad I am not the only one who sat on my couch and “ooohhed and ahhhhed at ‘Shock and Awe’; and I am so ashamed of it now. It also amazes me how many sheeple still believe that Iraq had anything whatsoever to do with 9/11! It was in inside job planned between the Bush Crime Family, the Rogue elements in the government-as listed above-and the House of Saud. Can you also say, Bandar Bush?
