Some would argue we are only as free as we allow ourselves to be. In essence I would agree with that statement. Yet there are forces in place which will deny us our simple freedoms whether we like it or not. Take for instance what is happening in Pakistan currently over the judiciary system. President/General Musharraf relieved the Top Judge of the Supreme Court of his position and is currently under trial for abuse of his power. No further statements have been officially released as far as my knowledge goes.

I am so moved by a comment regarding my recent blog about discrimination against veterans that I feel the need to discuss it further. As I had written, my husband is a Vietnam veteran and I have first hand experience with the pain and neglect veterans suffer. In fact, my dad, my late father-in-law and my uncle have all served this government in the military and have little to show for it. Is it no wonder I discourage my son from serving in the military and insist he take advantage of one of the few benefits left for family members of veterans – tuition reimbursement?

On the surface, Bilderberg is a yearly meeting with high-powered, international leaders in the areas of politics and finance. They supposedly discuss such issues as oil prices, nuclear arms, global warming, and the various wars and political upheavals that afflict the planet at any given time. I say “supposedly discuss” because no one is actually told what goes on at these super secret, highly guarded, and mysterious annual meetings. But why? These issues seem like the types of things that all people should know about, right? Well, it doesn’t really matter what the people think, this exclusive group doesn’t really care what you think about these things and they’re not going to bother telling you!

As wars march on to the beat of those that never go to fight them, the veterans of those wars continue to suffer and be neglected. What if the first to go to war were the children of political officials as opposed to poor young people looking for a better life and a way to secure their future? Somehow if that were the law, I doubt there would be so many unnecessary political struggles.

Capitalism is the system, it is what drives modern society. Capitalism is our daily routine. It is us getting up early in the morning, two days away from payday, wishing we had money, wishing we had food, wishing life was better. Capitalism is the force of oppression, greed, misery, and poverty in this world. It is the method for those on top to destroy parts of our planet all in the name of the mighty dollar. Have you not noticed of late that when money is involved, it matters not what the consequence is of obtaining it?

If you’ve seen the movie “V for Vendetta” then you’re well aware of the frightening and timely political message that it has. If you haven’t seen it, then you need to. Even a child could understand the plight of a nation under a tyrannical government that uses fear and the removal of individual freedoms to keep its people under its hypnotic spell from this fascinating movie. While it was billed as a comic book type of a movie, its political message and stylized storytelling has a growing cult following around the world. The mask that “V” wears in the movie is quickly becoming a symbol for those who hold democracy near and dear to their hearts.

Continuing my quest to investigate secret societies around the world, I wanted to give a quick overview of the “big boys” of these mysterious groups that are so widely reported to be “controlling” the world. So, who exactly are these men and how are they controlling the world anyway? As a primer, I’d like to introduce you to some of the biggies of the world of secret societies. I will investigate these groups individually in future blogs, but for now, let’s meet the major players.

TWO MINUTES TO MIDNIGHT
This is going to be an overall collection of my thoughts, so you may find repetetive material from my previous posts. I am going to make it as many editions long as possible until everything starts falling apart. In which case I am going to gather every every post of Two Minutes To Midnight and gather them together and save copies of them to share with people afterwards. We don’t even know if the internet as we know it will still exist in the not so distant future. I am here, just as I am at home - spreading ideas and helping people question the world around them. I have been putting this together over the past week, and it was just now when it kind of struck me, we’re on the decline now. Things aren’t going to start looking up for a long time to come. From here on out, its only setting things up to make one really big crash. The time come has come to begin preparations. Watch the world around you very closely, if you miss the wrong thing, you may seriously regret it later.

According to recent news, Iran President Mahmud Ahmadinejad is suffering from prostate cancer and may only have a couple of months left to live. Because this topic is taboo in Iranian state media, there are conflicting reports about bad the President’s condition is but he is definitely battling cancer. Read the rest of this entry »

I recently read a disturbing article about a young American man named Jonathan who served in the war in Iraq and returned suffering with PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder). I am always lured by these headlines because I am the loving wife of a Vietnam veteran who suffers with PTSD, Agent Orange exposure and neglect at the hands of the VA (Veterans Affairs) every day. It makes my heart ache to think this tragedy continues to repeat itself for more young men and their families.
